Brief
Brgy. Sto. Nino’s perception of VAW as a subject associated with shame and silence affect reporting behavior of victim-survivors and prevent concerned individuals from offering help or properly intervening in a situation. Thus, it is imperative that the locality members and participants are mobilized and equipped with properly designed tools to navigate conversations and address VAW cases while still upholding the victim-survivor centric approach.
How might we facilitate conversations surrounding VAW in such a way that can equip residents as first-responders who can bridge survivors to formal help?
